Oil and Gas Development in Town: How Does House Bill 40 Set the Rules? Webinar

Title: Oil and Gas Development in Town: How Does House Bill 40 Set the Rules? Webinar Recording
Description: The Texas Legislature passed House Bill 40 in 2015. The bill was the result of negotiations between the Texas Municipal League (TML), the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA), and other interested parties. The bill provides cities with authority to reasonably regulate aboveground activity related to oil and natural gas operations like setbacks from other structures, traffic, and noise. It also provides that regulation of oil and natural gas operations like fracking and production is governed by state law.
The extensive, anticipated litigation caused by the bill hasn’t materialized, but some questions remain. In this recorded webinar, TML and TXOGA invite you to hear both sides of issues related to the implementation of H.B. 40.
Speakers: Bryn Meredith, Partner, Taylor, Olson, Adkins, Sralla & Elam, LLC; Bill Kroger, Partner, Baker Botts, LLP; Cory Pomeroy, Vice President and General Counsel, Texas Oil & Gas Association; and Scott Houston, Deputy Executive Director and General Counsel, Texas Municipal League
